Welcome
The purpose of this website is to inform Butte Creek Canyon residents and the public about what is happening in the canyon. As this website progresses, you will be able to link to pages designed for each canyon organization. You will be able to see what each organization has planned for upcoming months such as fund raisers, projects, interesting facts about people in the canyon, and special points of interest. Hopefully, this site will be a place for us to share information. Eventually, we hope to have an active place for communication within the Butte Creek Canyon.
We would like to hear from you. E-mail us.
Message from the webmaster:
We decided to start this website during the last fire in the canyon. This is the second fire in the canyon for us. During the previous fire, CDF and volunteers came around with current information about the fire and let us know if we could help anyone, or if we needed help. But with so many fires burning in Butte County our volunteers and CDF did not have people available for public relations. CNN carried more information about the Butte Creek Canyon fire then the local television stations. We lost electricity for a very short time, but we were without a regular telephone line for over a week, but our ISDN line for the computer was only lost for 2 days. We hope that during the next disaster, we will be able to publish E-mail communications from canyon residents from all parts of the canyon and from the Volunteer Fire Company 26, CDF, emergency services and law enforcement as information is available. We want to be the "communication network" of the canyon.
